Just you and nature. The great outdoor experience - the great physical experience. Dubois offers numerous trails which lead through and into magnificent natural scenery. Whether you just want to go for a day hike or spent some nights "out there", Dubois has got it all. The trails range from easy to difficult. For information and description of the trails please contact the Dubois Chamber of Commerce or the Ranger District website of the National Forest.

Please be safe: Follow the simple but life saving rules:
  • Always notify someone where you are going and when you expect to be back.
  • Always be prepared for cold weather and snow (this is the High Country!)
  • Always carry enough water or water purifying tools
  • Always stay away from the bear
