CAMPING

Camping in the Dubois, Wyoming area. Roll out your sleeping bag under the starry skies of the Rockies. You can do so in the Shoshone National Forest. For your safety, please follow the special rules for dispersed camping and be aware of any fire restrictions.

The Shoshone National Forest has developed several areas throughout the forest for your camping convenience. Camping season usually runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day but can vary due to weather conditions.

Some developed campgrounds provide water supplies and other services which may be discontinued after the season. Still, the campgrounds may be used outside of the season.
All campgrounds are on a first-come, first-serve basis. Reservations are not possible. User fees are payable on a self-serve system: Pick your site, return to the entrance and record the site number, deposit the money in a provided envelope and drop it into the collection box. Drinking water availability can vary and will be posted at the campgrounds.
