Famous Dubois Visitor Sighting of the Month

Screen legend Robert DeNiro was sighted in The Dubois Drugstore and was reported to have sampled a shake.  Go visit the Dubois Drugstore yourself and taste what DeNiro enjoyed!  Just for fun, when served, ask “ Are you talkin’ to ME” and see what happens!

Google Earth Tour


A new Google Earth Tour was launched for Wyoming's Togwotee Trail by the Wind River Visitors' Council this month, the best route to Yellowstone.
The Togwotee Trail Tour, part of the Centennial Scenic Byway, features 25 scenic, historic and cultural points of interest between Wind River Country and the border of Yellowstone National Park.  Your virtual tour begins in Wyoming's Wind River Country near Dubois and weaves it's way  up to Togwotee  Pass above  9,000 feet in elevation.This Google 3-D Earth Tour will educate visitors about this wonderful Wyoming area.

This spring learn the strategies that will help Dubois businesses survive in a challenging economic climate at Dubois Main Street’s second small business workshop series.

Taking Chance

The Dubois Community turned out for the screening of "Taking Chance", an HBO movie based on Lt. Col. Mike Strobl's personal account of escorting the remains of 19-year-old LCpl. Chance Phelps back to Dubois. Phelps was killed in action in Iraq on April 9, 2004. HBO chose to host a public screening in Dubois-the smalleset community in which they have ever done so. David Castro, director of of cooperate affairs at HBO, said of the the screening, "It couldn't have gone better. Everyone was so impressed by the reception we got in the town".

antler rendezvousAntler brokers, dealers and enthusiasts from all over the US and some from Canada congregate in Dubois May 11th-15th. The Dubois Antler Rendezvous is great fun and open to the public. From poundage to non typicals and anything made from antler is for sale at this one of a kind event. Yellowstone roads have just opened, the Tetons are still heavy with snow and the Elk Refuge antler auction in Jackson is the 16th.

Peaks and Plains Magazine

A three page article featuring Dubois artist Gary Keimig will be part of the summer issue of “Peaks and Plains Magazine” the in-flight magazine for Great Lakes Aviation. Funding for the article will be generously provided by The Headwater Arts & Conference Center in partnership with Destination Dubois.  Four ¼ page ads will be available for Dubois businesses interested in advertising as well.
